14809 Hobmer archtop guitar (used, age unknown) with intonated bridge, red sunburst finish, and cutaway. Mr. or Ms. Hobmer may have had some identity issues, because the Hobmer logo is imprinted on the upper body, the tailpiece, the truss rod cover, all six of the tuner buttons, the label inside the body, and (twice) on the peghead. According to the label, the guitar was manufactured by the Musical Instrument Research Bureau, and the label also includes a large map of India! This guitar has X-bracing and bound soundholes. Although this guitar has never been electrified, it has a removable output hole plug, in case you ever decide to go electric. We've set the guitar up with premium grade flatwound strings, and it is truly an impressive sounder; plays very easily, too. $549.00 |

14923 Aria Diamond, (used, c.1960s) model H-F 1362G arch top double pickup cutaway, 17" wide jazz guitar. The "H-F" in the model number may indicate that this guitar was imported by the long lamented Harris-Fandel Company, our first supplier, 43 years ago Anyway, this is a very good Japanese knock-off of Gibson's most elaborate sunburst jazz guitars of the 1950s and '60s. The guitar is set up with premium flatwound strings. It plays and sounds fine. Some of the gold plating is worn, and the pickguard is noticeably curved (5/32" from side to side). Hardshell case is road weary, but has very pretty orange plush lining.. $495.00
14935 Epiphone ES-175 VS, full-body cutaway archtop with two humbucking pickups, polished sunburst finish, and excellent hardshell case. Hearing is believing. $499.00
