12070 Dobro
late 1930's squareneck. The sound is lively and dramatic;
imagine being inside the carillon when the swallows return to
Capistrano. This guitar has body of unknown hardwoods with typical
1930s resonator, spider, and sound well. Scot thinks it's a Model
37. Dark brown sunburst finish is intact and original. In fact
the whole instrument is original, except for the last inch of
the fingerboard, which we replaced, because some previous owner
removed it to make room for a vanished surface-mount pickup.
The chipboard case is original, too, but shows its age more than
the guitar does. $2,200.00 |

12893 Regal
RD-381S squareneck dobro. The heavier square cross-section
of the neck makes it ideal for lap style playing, with extra
sustain and greater tuning stability. This stunning resonator
guitar is finished in gloss ivory, with gold plated hardware.
The peghead sports the famous gold and green ''Regal'' logo over
a polished ''tortoise nitrate'' veneer. List price $503.20, including
hardshell case. Our price only $425. |

and the graceful ''Trellis Motif'' peghead. Playing is believing,
but wear your sunglasses! List price $849.00. Our
price $725.00 |
